I was overly grateful for your understanding in my blind date mix up details.

I love the respect that you demand and are unwavering in it. Your a true inspiration to me the way you deal with this crazy scene, people are so deceitful and selfish, I had nearly given up on it all but then I get a dose of your professionalism and remember why I'm in this game.

You are Kink. ABODE has done more for me personally than any other influence in my world.

Thanks again, I have nothing but respect for you, I felt lost when (my ex) left me but now understand I'm just on a new path on my journey.

You’re a world class host on a deteriorating scene. Most have lost their way… it's not Fet anymore, it's a gossip wheel.

It's coming on close to the anniversary of my foray into the Fetish culture.

How happy I am, that it all started with a phone call to yourself, inviting me to come to the infamous events "The Gateway" followed on by the wonderful experience of "SINthetic". At once, nervous as I was coming in by myself, I felt relaxed and at ease. I couldn't even surprise you, because you knew who I was by my voice... Darn it! LOL

So this last year has been a real treat and I was fortunate to try some of your other events, such as 'MEZZANINE" and "The SECRET ROOM".

I even had the crazy idea to share some moments with my family, by bringing them to my favorite "SINthetic" on my Birthday!
Guess what...THEY loved it and want to come back :-)

I believe they found your establishment and the events you put so much effort into running, of very high quality, just as I do.

Tracy does a fab job on the decor and themes, making it look like the inviting space it is. Someday, I might even try and catch her, whilst she's rushing around seeing to making everything run smoothly, just to let her know.

Well Colonel, to me your advise has been a g-dsend! I would normally use an analogy, but I'm stumped at the moment. I will find one... perhaps to post another day, but it really is important to me, to let you know now how imperative it is for 'newbies' or 'noobies' who've never been exposed to the variety of 'FETS' (my abbrev) to have somewhere safe to explore, enjoy and experiment, with acceptance and without fear or recrimination.
What a treasure you offer.

Not only are you a licensed venue, but the events you hold at Abode, bring the most amazing talent to the foreground. I'm constantly surprised and amazed by the things I've seen... always to the delight of the true voyeur in me! The staff are friendly and experienced and the patrons are as varied and special as the events you run.
Splendid!

I can only encourage others to see or to comprehend the amount of work you do for the industry and for those who wish to explore this Fetish culture, and to wish you strength in the ever changing times, in moving forward.

I have my eye on the next event DECADENCE (babysitter permitting). With all my respect at the enormous work you do and for the fact that without your advice, I could be in so so so MUCH TROUBLE! So thank you for breaking things down for me over the year and being patient at spelling things out for me at times... to this Newbie on training wheels...

Hi Colonel,

It was so nice to meet you and hear your views on the ever changing (gay) scene. I've spent a lot of time considering the end of Commercial Road and only after our discussion am I feeling more positive that it is not so much an end, rather a natural progression of the (gay) 'scene.'

With that said, I mentioned that I had been to "ABODE" once before and had an amazing night! It was several years ago, but a combination of the etiquette and the patrons respect for the unique style, left a lasting impression. So whilst the face of Melbourne's (gay) scene is slowly transforming with the new Greyhound, it would be interesting to see how it's patrons will evolve - if at all. There has been a noticeable change in the homely 'local' feel to Greyhound from the pre-renevation days with their sticky carpet and outdated disco-dance floor. With this change in the scene, I feel that another ABODE 'experience' is in order.

I'm looking forward to learning more about ABODE, it's principles and foundation as I check out your webpage and I hope to make a visit this Friday for Mezzanine, if not next month.

The cage was heavenly, music was fab, the set up was excellent Tracy :)

The hugs were magnificent as was the rope tied around me! That's a must do again experience! ;)

Just wanted to send my sincere appreciation to your establishment (ABODE) for it's 'NEO' night, last night (Friday 10^th June).

New to the area, but not new to the scene, and found everyone extremely welcoming.

The bar was well stocked and the bar staff friendly and incredibly quick (plus the girl with the fauxhawk was painfully cute).

The night went off without a hitch, everyone was having a great time and I met lots of new faces.

Spoke to the owner just before the end and he's a seriously nice guy.

I would recommend this place to anyone.

Why ABODE Is Important To Me

ABODE is like no other club and here is what I mean, It's different and accepts me like nowhere else I've ever been.

You can be an Artist, performer, DJ, singer, dancer, comedian on stage.

You can be a fashionista, dress up, wear leather, latex, glitter and platform shoes.
You can be anything you want to be at ABODE, you'll never here any boos.

Thumping Bass, pulsating sounds are woven through laser lit splendour, dancing into the morning.
Sit back, people watch, it's never dull & boring.

People come in all sorts of individual shades, The world's not black or white, How ABODE accepts you as you, there's no wrong, it's alright.

A secure and safe place to be,
ABODE is always a place to be me.

I've fallen on my arse dancing and realised there I could laugh about it and nobody cared, Always confident and happy with never a reason to be scared.

So many interesting characters to meet,
So many outfits that are just darn sweet.

Hello again

Just to report back we had a great time.

My wife and I were Abode virgins until last night. We only recently returned to Melbourne after a ten year absence.

The club has a great vibe that appears to be non judgmental whilst ensuring the punters are of the desired mind set. A bit of a paradox which works well.

Your staff are really friendly, and I loved meeting one of your hosts Jane.

The music was right up my ally and was pitched at just the right volume. I have grown out of clubs that hurt my ears.

We do intend to be back as you are within walking distance if in sensible shoes!

Membership does appeal. Please can you let me know the application process.

S and I had a really great time at The Gateway last weekend, probably the best night out that either of us has had.

S thinks that ABODE is the best venue she's ever been to and we have been to plenty (London, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Vegas, New Orleans, etc).

I love your venue,
No.1 place in Melb. I love that it is underground & different to all other bars/clubs.

Would love to spread the word but scared that it will become like what happened to the Dome. I am sorry, if you want me to share your events on my wall please let me know.

I always feel safe, warm & welcome at your venue, and thank all staff from bottom of my heart for sharing your space with me. Patrons attending are so well behaved and friendly.

I have been to so many in Melb & Sydney but Abode is the best. Throughout the years I have been searching for the one venue that I can feel & be me without judgement, what happens at ABODE stays at ABODE.
I loved Hellfire Sydney, that was pretty underground :)

Thank you for yet another lovely evening at ABODE. Once again we met some interesting and friendly people and have widened our circle of like minded friends.

We really enjoyed the opportunity to chat with you earlier in the night before it became too busy, and I especially enjoyed the goodbye hug :)

P and I are looking forward to attending the birthday bash in a few weeks, but hope to make it to ABODE before then ... most likely in a fortnight.

Thank you once again for providing such a comfortable venue for people of the community to socialize and have fun. I am so happy to have been introduced but just wish it had been years earlier!

Hi Colonel,

Just wanted to say a BIG thanks fora great night last week at "N-Tice". It was our first official themed night at ABODE and I must say the friendliness of everybody certainly made for a relaxing and comfortable night. Great music and the set up was wicked.

It looks like the first Saturday of the month has now got a permanent booking in our diary.

Must say the music and dance at SINthetic last Sat nite (Sat 25^th Sept) was great. I esp enjoyed the lead guitar howling with the DJ. Lets hope he gets up on stage next SINthetic to really show his stuff.

I would like to thank The Colonel, and all my great ABODIANS for there wonderful support over the past 8 months since the sudden passing of my partner Brent, most would remember Brent as ABODE’s worst dancer… lol.

Brent had many of his happiest times at ABODE since l introduced him to the Alternative scene almost 5 years ago.

My hardest hurdle was coming back to ABODE without my man.
l have now succeeded doing this 3 times last night being one of them.

ABODE is like home, a family, you guys are truly amazing and l thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Indeed a Wonderland...

Last night (Sat 13 March - An ABODE Wonderland) was one of the best parties we have ever been to.
Everywhere I turned; there was another dimension with the most amazing people.

Your venue has got to be the most interesting space in Melbourne, every time I go it's like walking into another world.

UDJ 2010 Summer Sessions Competition Finalist

From 58 submissions to 13 invited qualifiers over a 6 week installation show of talent, it is with huge pleasure that we announce the finalists and highest scoring DJ of the UDJ 2010 Summer Sessions.

As this multitude of talent started showing us what they can do, it became apparent that it wasn’t going to be an easy task to make the final decision. So, our congrats go to Luke Lawrence, Johan Elg, Samari and runner up Olly G who will all be invited to be rotating guests at BASS ODYSSEY.

Major congrats to DARKO, with a combined score of 255 (out of 300) is the overall winner of the UDJ 2010 Summer Sessions and landing himself a residency spot at BASS ODYSSEY.

We are looking forward to collaborating with this incredibly talented crew.

The performance on stage was.... Different and a touch disturbing, even if it was only a fake severed head, but enjoyable. Not your ordinary dance number.

Nice arrangement of the furnishings.
Good to have a fresh perspective now and then.
It's what the others lack, but they are only stand alone 'events' and they only have the place for the night and have to do with the place as is, not like your AWESOME venue dedicated to the alt lifestyle.

Who would have ever thought that such a space could be presented in so many interesting ways?

Listing to the soulful sounds of The Lounge Detectives along with the worldly ambience of the space, it brought us back to the sultry days of intimate times spent in smoke filled spaces (without the smoke now) listing to the greats.
Then a bonus to keep enjoying the space we have grown to love… ABODE Level One.

Dear Colonel,

I just wanted to pass on my sincere thanks for a fantastic time at The Gateway and SINthetic last night (Sat 31 Oct). I'm so glad I popped my ABODE "cherry" at long last!

People were so relaxed and friendly and welcoming. The club has a great vibe and I had an absolute ball. I could go on for pages but I can't think of one single aspect of the night that wasn't 100% spot on. Thanks also for taking my photo. I'd love to see how those pics came out.

Apologies for not finding you to say goodbye - by about 02:15 my feet were in the final stages of meltdown in those high heels and I was starting to cramp up in my calves. Safety first, so it was time for Lyndia to check out. Even the security guys were great on my way out, making sure I got back to my car OK.

Thank you also for taking to time to show me around the members area. I appreciate you making that effort when you were so busy. I'm well across all the protocol and etiquette requirements. I strive for perfection with my dressing and my kink, and that extends to behaviour and playing by the rules. Membership would be both a privilege and a very great pleasure.

I keep saying "thanks" so I'll try not to repeat myself LOL.
Suffice to say I'm still buzzing from such a great experience.

PS... I was also impressed by your customer focus and business acumen. It's difficult to make a business successful if you don't put in the hard yards and cover off on all the little details - like showing a new arrival around and explaining the way the club works. Hey guys! Just wanted to give you all at ABODE another BIG pat on the back.

We try and get down to Melbourne for as many alternative events as we can with ABODE being the primary reason and ‘port of call’. Your events are truly what events are meant to be. Each time we walk into one of your events (and we have been to many), the detail and uniqueness has always left us with a feeling of ‘WOW’. The space you create truly spectacular!!!

Last Saturday night (26 Sept) we came down for PRIMAL. Although we haven’t been to a PRIMAL for some years (6 we think!!), it sure brought back great memories. Have to admit, this one was quite different… possibly had to do with it being in your own club this time. The unique performances we see each time are to die for. Where do you get the ideas and inspiration for these edge shows? I don’t believe we have ever seen the same show twice.

Your light & laser show & visual imagery show was out of this world!!

We can’t understand how the others (who call themselves alternative/fetish events) can charge so much and yet give so little. They don’t have the cost of running there own venue or staff and only have some pissy used equipment/décor and an unknown DJ on the night. We won’t be giving them our money again!!

So!! Again, we want to say THANK YOU for giving us so much. We look forward to once again being surprised and made to feel at HOME.

You guys are the best!!

Thanks for creating such amagic play space at Neo Sanctum 'Ritual' Masquerade Party (Sat 11 July).

Everyone looked hot and mysterious in their costumes andmasks.
I had a wicked time with my partner and met some sexy play mates.

My delicioushighwas somewhat spoiled though when money was stolen from my purse in the sensual parlour.
My pursewas handed in minus the cash - I would have preferred the thief to take the drink cards inside.

I find it a shame that in a place where inhibitions are lost and social taboos are happily crossed with like minded people, theft takes place.

Am Inaive to think that fellow players should act withrespect and trust?

Cutting to the chase my complaint is that you go to all that effort of conceiving, creating, producing and running such a wonderful, inspired, enchanted soiree as Neo Sanctum so your guests can frolic, searching out their fantasies and desires and you are working on the night and can not experience the party from the same debauched perspective as your guests.

Yes we all changed a little bit...but not too much. It's so long since I was in Melbourne. I mean I was just 20 back then and now turn 25 soon... ;)

I am living in the UK at the moment in Newcastle upon Tyne. Am still studying but will be finished with my Masters soon.

It is great to receive your newsletters and enjoy writing emails with you every now and then. I love to see what fantastic events you set up and I enjoy seeing pictures of how it looks like at the moment.
But it's also a little bit sad cause I see what I am missing out on. It is quite boring here in terms of going out. Newcastle is a student city and there are mostly student clubs and bars.You do not have any insider information where to find a good place to go to here by any chance? ;)

I think ABODEis a wonderful place with great atmosphere and it looks like your doing a fantastic job to keep it like that. I am sure at one point I will stand at the front door again.

We go to many of the fetish events here in Sydney.

After hearing so many interesting stories about the Melbourne scene, we decided to pack a bag full of goodies and a case full of our most interesting attire to come down for a two weekend (22 - 31 May) party experience.

Confessional/SINthetic (Sat 30 May) would have to be the best fetish event we have been to in many years. Thank goodness it was on the last weekend of our Melbourne trip.
What a way to remember Melbourne!!

Now we definitely know the difference between an event held in any club and a dedicated Fetish Club.
Your club (ABODE) is definitely one of a kind.

It was great to see so many interesting people from all over the country and such sophisticated fashion all in one place.
The unique decor, fashion show and performances completed our overall experience.

Please thank The Colonel and all the crew for the humble hospitality.

I would like to thank you, on behalf of the girls and I, for the delightful space you created at Abode on Saturday night. We have attended a couple of events elsewhere as a trio and have never been in a space so welcoming, friendly, and downright sexy. I was most happy with the very clearly communicated expectations and standards of ABODE, and very impressed with the way the patrons adhered to the standards.

For the first time ever, my Household could socialise in the manner we choose and not have to fend off anybody. The one person who requested a little playtime was respectful and polite, and took our little gift of some dance time as the gift it was rather than a promise of anything else. Everyone else just did their thing while we did ours.

The eye candy was delightful, and being eye candy for more than one person was fun too. Good for the ego to know we're still pretty to look at.

Not only have the families of some of our staff been directly affected by loss of property, it is with deep sadness to know that we have lost some ABODE members to these devastating fires.

Over the next few weeks, we will be dedicating ourselves in assisting the families of our staff and members by being a donation collection point for our community.

We will start by donating all entry proceeds/profits from The Satire Club this Friday, February 13th to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal. Please join us on Friday night in this support.

In turn, you will be able to donate by either dropping money into the collection tins we will have in the club or you can donate directly to us if you wish to remain anonymous.

Hello.
I had the best night out last night at ABODE (SINthetic - Sat 31 Jan). I was wanting to find out about becoming a member as we are not ever going to a regular night club again because ABODE is so much better!

Also our photo was taken and I was told if I email and ask nicely that I may be able to get a copy of the photo. So please Sir may I have a copy of the photo? It is a photo taken around 2am of 2 girls, I had a strapless black top and dark hair in pig tails and my friend had blonde hair out with a black dress.

I look forward to seeing the photo and finding out about membership as we are planning on coming back every 2 weeks. :)

Primal People would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all the people who participated in the Alternative Club scene which was shot at ABODE over 4 days for the feature film <submerge>.

As expected, the various scenes from the dance floor to the private areas and the specialised scenes look amazing. These scenes will definitely draw attention for there depiction of sensuality and power.

How are you? Just a quick note to say… ‘Thank You’ from myself and Soomee for a great night on Saturday (SINthetic). I hadn't been to ABODE in a while and I had almost forgotten how great the venue was, not to mention how wonderful all the patrons and staff are too. Thanks for the reminder! Also, as you may recall, I asked Soomee to marry me that evening.

After having a drink with Rachel, she told us that she was going to send us a picture that she took of the two of us just before I proposed to Soomee. She (Rachel) also mentioned that if we were going to have an engagement party, that you guys would be happy to offer us upstairs as the venue for the private function if we were interested. We thanked her and agreed that it would be a great idea.

Being a newbie (K's first ABODE experience) it was good to put a face to the phone conversation and felt put at ease from arrival, thank you as I was unsure of attending (even though D had met you before at ABODE) - there was only one small uncomfortable moment when I was approached somewhat smothered by another female - wasn't taking no for an answer rather well... however, we dealt with that but thought we would just share that with you.

On the flip side.... already trying to organise another weekend in Melbourne and of course a visit to ABODE.

Once again I have enjoyed the most wonderful company at ABODE over the weekend just passed. How is it that ABODE patrons are so friendly and open?

That’s not what you find at your average mainstream or alternative venue. ABODE seems able to attract people who are open to the world and willing to connect with other people.

The ‘defensive walls’ are rarely apparent.

I wonder whether that’s related to the security we all feel when we’re amongst like-minded friends? Or is it the open fire, the cool body-shifting vibes, the special mix of versatile (!) spaces? Well – it’s all that and more!

Congratulations Colonel and Tracy for establishing and maintaining that vibe where everything seems possible, everyone feels energised and where people connect.

This set the backdrop for around 300 revellers to party from 10pm through till close at 8am.

We would also like to thank everyone from the artists to the set builders to the deck hands who applied the more than 150 hours to create the amazing space that formed the base for Mr Roarke, Tattoo, Guest Hosts, Show girls/boys, Cocktail Hosts & DJ’s to entertain you.

Most of all we wish to thank Miss T (Tracy) for Her creativity and matter to detail which brought Fantasy Island to reality.

I had an awesome time at ABODE for SINthetic. Really enjoyed myself. I got there at 10pm cos I didn't want to be late (so I froze outside... heh heh)

It is the only place that as a single woman I will go by myself. I am made to feel welcome, comfortable and safe. All staff and patrons are amazing, friendly and inviting. The regulars/more experienced do take the time to talk and teach. I’m not into the "scene" as such, but I know what I do and don’t like and there is no pressure or discrimination, I can beME for once.

Hello Colonel

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for all your efforts in the preparation of Vintage Kink (NYE).

My friend and I flew from Sydney to join a small crew of Melbourne ABODIANS before heading to ABODE. We had a fabulous time, danced all night, met a few new culprits along the way and finished at 8:00am on St Kilda beach for a champagne breakfast.

Return to the daily grind was tough but what a fabulous party it was.

"We found ourselves at an exclusive party a couple of weeks ago having a great time, enjoying the people, the atmosphere and the music (it was like being at ABODE :-]).
A couple of hours into the party, the music suddenly became a little more pronounced, the volume went up a few notches, the feet started tapping, the bodies started moving, the smiles grew on faces and the flirting became more apparent (still like being at ABODE :-]).
Just then someone in the group we were chatting with made the statement... "Wow!!! what's this music?" We stopped and listened.
Much to our surprise, the tunes that were playing were in fact the ABODE cd. It appears that one of the guests (whom we did not recognise) took it upon themselves to bring a copy with them.
As it sometimes happens, ABODE then became a topic of conversation amongst the guests. Looks like you are going to have a few new people coming in soon.

We just wish to say 'Thank You' for being the club you are and having such a great reputation in our outside social arena".

Hope you are both well and have been having fun treating the sexy kinky people of Melbourne to all the wonders that ABODE has to offer along with your fantastic unique hospitality (argh!! Sydney nightlife totally pales in comparison now!!!).

The siren song of the dark delights of ABODE has proved too strong and our original plans of moving back to Melbourne in the early New Year have been scrapped for the much more appealing option of moving back before the end of November - so its only one more weekend of dullish Sydney night-life for us.

Thanks kindly for your emails full of information for the coming weeks ahead. Over two years I've had the chance to attend ABODE four times. The last time was on Saturday 30th September 2006. Upon arrival we filled out some paper work and were informed about the house rules. Later we were given a tour around.

My lady friend and myself turned up in PVC nurse outfits and as usual we had an awesome time!
Our other guests who arrived with us were new to ABODE and they also enjoyed themselves.
I thank-you for making them feel welcome and giving them a chance to experience something different!

The garden was mesmerising and the Sword Fencing between Highlander and Lowlander was thoroughly entertaining. The attention to detail in transforming the space we know and love was Amazing! Can't wait for room 4, The Bathroom on Saturday March 18th... can I bring my rubber ducky?

SINTHETIC has been my staple diet and congratulations on its 1st birthday; another wild night... the video projections and laser images were awesome.

Wish I could be there at the Melbourne Leather Festival. I got to know the German Mr. Leather 2005 recently. He’s a good guy. He didn't win in Chicago though for international Mr. Leather but he said it was fun. Anyway I’m working shift in a factory nowon the assembly line just to make some money. Just wanted to share this with you... On the weekend I attended an event (not at ABODE), which I wont name but was very much looking forward to.
The music was awesome and it was visually spectacular.

Interestingly enough many people approached me to ask me what I thought.
Aside from telling them it was a visual delight, I was hesitant to say much else and here's the bit I thought would interest you. ALL the people who approached me said virtually the same thing. "It just doesn’t have the same feel as ABODE" or as I've said many times "When u walk into ABODE you feel like you're home" - even folks who've only been a couple of times say this. We all felt we should've been having a ball but something was missing so we ended up back at ABODE and had a blast.

The 8 DEADLY SINS images will now be produced as a set series and exhibited at ABODE shortly

Thanx sooo much 4 your hospitality. The place is immaculate and u are true professionals. You don’t usually hear Naughty and Classy in the same sentence but they're the 2 adjectives I’d use 2 describe ABODE.

The members and guests are so lovely. I 1/2 expected a sleazy vibe and people hassling me like I get elsewhere...instead everyone’s just friendly, polite, cheeky but never offensive (although u'd b hard pressed to offend me) and no pressure!
I’m so impressed with the calibre of people.

When I was getting spanked etc 1/2 a dozen people came and asked if I was ok or getting hurt which I thought was very sweet... but kinda funny since I wasn’t even restrained!

Hi,

Thanks for having us at ABODE on the 13th. Coming from interstate and trying to find something to do on short notice, discovering SINFUL (nearly by chance) was just stupendous! The thought that has been put into the night and venue really shows, from the books in the library, to the wonderful cozy vibe that permeates the club; we felt completely comfortable the moment we stepped in the door (it's nice to be able to get carried away). You can be sure that we will be back, even if it involves driving for 9 hours to get there. Please do say "hi!" to the Milky Bar Kid.

As usual we had a ball! We left at 5.00am and there were still people coming in the door!

The debate continues...
The on-going use of drugs (Pills) by patrons in Australian nightclubs continues to be the reasoning for 'The Great Water Debate'. Calls by the Victorian State Health Minister, Bronwyn Pike, for clubs to provide free or at least cheap water has left club owners and managers very unhappy. Anyone who patronises clubs, drug users or not, have had the experience of not being able to access cold water in the toilets or having to hand over $4 for a 300ml bottle of water, which can realise a mark up of around 700%. Alcohol does not realise the same profit margin so why are venues capitalising on water sales. On the other side of the coin, venues do have high overheads, and the drug culture is making business harder. At the end of the day, everyone is responsible for their own actions and if a person can afford to spend $40 on a pill and make the choice to use drugs why should a venue owner have to subside their habit? We are all grown ups now, but we don't need to be ripped off or make the choice to drink alcohol because it's cheaper than water.

An unfortunate thing has happened within our scene of late, The James Rennie produced Club DV8 saga. (Not to be confused with the successful, well respected DV8 that has operated at Melbourne's Club CBD 12 - 14 McKillop Street City for the past 9years). This individual and his event has not only capitalised on the reputation and hard work of others, but has left a trail of unpaid DJ's, hosts, performers, press and others in both Melbourne and Sydney. The repercussions are not merely unfair on these people, what it actually does is make it more difficult for honest promoters to put on events.

^{Kitty Kat (Melb) & Lily (Sydney)}Last seen, James Rennie was heading for Melbourne to live. His phone remains unanswered. When a creditor (personally known to me, and coincidently also a Sheriff) turned up at his apartment, the front desk said that there had been many others also pursuing him - so basically good luck. James Rennie left no forwarding address. The Sheriff is still pursuing him for his money.

James Rennie along with the two so called advisers (one of whom publishes a known Kink magazine) has damaged the industry and the confidence of many and with an ever-growing network seeking him out, we expect that his actions will come back and bite him hard.

Perhaps we may learn to support our regular institutions, like Melbourne based PRIMAL, BEYOND,Girl Bar, Hush Now, Whiplash, and our Sydney cousins, DV8 House, the almost forgotten Amatory and the Sydney Hellfire Club, rather than throw our money at fly-by-night overseas promoters who come here to make a quick buck, often sinking the events that are put on by our community, for our community with aims far greater than making a profit.
